Chou En Lai Scholarship
The scholarship is named after Chou En Lai, who served as China’s first Premier in the regime of Mao Tse Tung, and paved the way for China’s unprecedented emergence from a feudal, pleasant society to world’s most advanced economy. A modest amount of money is awarded to the students on the yearly basis as stipend. Students can use this award as significant hallmark achievement in the early stages of their career. The selection committee headed by Pro-Vice Chancellor and faculty members from the Department decides the award on the basis of the academic merit and interests of the applicants.
Help in Need Fund (HNF)
The Department has initiated a new idea to assist the desired students who arestruggling to manage funds for their academic activities. In considering the concernsof such meritorious students, a Help in Need Fund (HNF) is established on thefinancial support raised by the faculties and alumni of the Department. Students canapply for this fund through a prescribed format stating their needs. A committee ledby the Chairperson of the Department of International Relations will take thedecision about the HNF fund awards on each year. This fund is initially awarded tomeet the academic demands of successful applicants.
Apart from the abovementioned sources of financial assistance, the Departmentalso facilitates its students to be considered for other funding sources within and outside the University. The Department also receives occasional monetary and other forms of assistance for the students going through financial hardships from its alumni and different partner organisations
